Norway's INFERNO FESTIVAL: A Hell Of An Easter

John-Arne Ø. Gundersen of the Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten is reporting that Oslo will be invaded by thousands of black clad extreme metal fans as the fourth Inferno festival takes place this Easter. Inferno is a major genre event, but organizers say there is no religious clash intended, the dates are really chosen to take advantage of spring weather.

"We arrange the festival at Easter because it's starting to get warmer and a lot of people are in town. Not everyone is wild about traveling to a mountain cabin," said Inferno information contact Ann Karin Frestad.

This year's festival features Norwegian bands MAYHEM, ENSLAVED, KHOLD and DISIPLIN, with MY DYING BRIDE and SADUS enhancing the bill. [Read more]
